Gaza In Need!
01.02.09 UPDATE: The 23-day Israeli offensive launched on the 27th December 2008 of unrelenting attacks on the Gaza Strip being the most densely-populated area in the world home to 1.5 million people, looks as if they have been hit by a strong earthquake, aid agencies say. During this conflict, at least 1,330 Palestinians have been killed, while 5,500 have been seriousley injured (many of whom were women and children). At least 35,000 Palestinians are now homeless while 400,000 people are without running water. More than 4,000 buildings destroyed in Gaza, more than 20,000 severely damaged. This is a man made humanitarian crisis.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Asalaamualaykum wr wb
My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam and Humanity,
As we witness the new Islamic year of 1430 Hijrah begin, we also witness the agression and inhumane acts by the Israelis against the Palestinians who have been unjustly killed and injured.
As the devastating bombardment on the people of Gaza reaches it’s fourth day, over 350 innocent people have been killed and hundreds more injured, yet the leaders of the world remain silent.
The rightful owners of the land, the Palestinians have done nothing except defend for the right to live freely as they have for centuries, alongside Jews and Christians. Their lands, homes, freedom, rights and lives have been taken over many years of oppression and occupation by the Israelis.
Make Du’aa, Indeed Du’aa is the Weapon of the Believer
The Prophet Muhammad (s) adviced us: “Believers are like a structure, parts of which support one another. The believers, in regard to mutual love, affection, fellow-feeling is that of one body; when any limb of it aches, the whole body aches, because of sleeplessness and fever.” [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]
WHERE IS OUR FEVER?
We are all aware of the current events, I ask you, please raise your hands to your Lord, make sincere duaa for them from your heart, and for the whole Ummah - to keep our hearts steadfast upon Islam.
In times of trial, how often is it that we forget to turn to Allah in sincere and constant du’a? We remind each other of making du’a – true – but in reality, how consistent are we in praying for justice and praying for the tools we need to be victorious? The more we focus in our du’a, the more determined and focused we shall be in driving towards victory. (Muhammad Al Shareef)
Best times to make du’aa - don’t waste the opportunities, be smart in your ‘Ibadah.
May Allah swt alleviate the suffering of our brothers and sisters in Gaza and across the world and end the aggression and oppression of the dhalimun.
